In September of 2003, Alan & I went to Canada to help Jan & Jenn with the foals. One of the things we did while we were up there was to attend a PMU foal auction at a PMU Farm. SurPrize was a very unexpected purchase while we were there. She trotted out into the ring and I took one look at her and had to have her. Jenn went to the auction to purchase a Clyde Filly for an adopter. She came back from that sale with 11 foals. All were eventually adopted and have great homes now. SurPrize stayed at Jan's until the Maine haul left and she arrived with Polgara in November of 2003. This picture was taken in March of 2004 and SurPrize is about 10 months old.
